Weekend Activities at BCC: November 8-10 / 2013
Friday, November 8 at 8:00pm: Shabbat Services led by Rabbi Lisa Edwards & lay leader Jeff Bernhardt. Join us after services for a social hour of refreshments. For our friends outside Los Angeles: Friday Shabbat Services at 8pm will be live streamed. After services join us for Oneg refreshments.Click the “Worship” tab above, on the roll down menu choose “BCC Live Video & Audio” to view the stream. Saturday, November 9 at 10:00am: Family Shabbat followed by Parent and Me. Cantor Juval is still in Israel, but Leah and Rabbi Heather will lead as spirited service. Families with children of all ages are invited to join the Ohr Chayim families for a Shabbat morning service.
Following the service, preschool children and their parents do some singing, storytelling, and crafts together.
Elementary school age children are invited to join the Ohr Chayim students for some learning and activities.
Sunday, November 10 at 11am: Unveiling for Avram Chill’s Gravestone.
Rabbi Edwards will be officiating at the unveiling service at the grave of our dear Avram Chill at Home of Peace Cemetery 4334 Whittier Blvd. Los Angeles. All are welcome. Afterwards, everyone is invited to join Avram’s husband, Wes Joe, and friends at a friend’s house. Contact Wes by email for more information.
