Sunday, September 23, Sukkah Building & Sunday September 30, Sukkah Enjoying!
Join BCC for two fun community activities in preparation of Sukkot!
Sunday September 23rd 2012 , 1:30 pm – Come create found object art and help build our sukkah.
1. Creating and Making Found Object Art – For all ages – join BCC artists and make decorations for our community sukkah out of recycle, re-use and found objects. Yes, we will be making pretty things out of throw away materials, such as old Jewish Journals, toilet paper rolls, soda cans, and plastic bottles. All materials will be provided or bring your own favorite recycle, or found objects. There will be artists on hand to guide you. Our Sukkah will have the smallest carbon footprints and be a one-of-a-kind!
2. Sukkah building – For teens and adults – It takes a village to build a sukkah. Come help our builders put the frame of our sukkah up. Bring power tools if you have any, we need your strength and moral support too. We will also put the lights up and around the parking lot. Pretty!
3. Eating and Laughing – if you are unable to build or create art, but want to come give support, bring something delicious and feed our hungry builders and artists. In the tradition of Sukkot, bring fruit to share and just enjoy the day. BCC will provide snacks and drinks.
Sunday September 30th 2012
