Binge-watching ‘Transparent’ at BCC

Join us every other month to screen films of interest to our community. In anticipation of the upcoming Awards Brunch and 2015 Awards Brunch honoree, Jeffrey Tambor, we will be screening three back-to-back episodes from the hit show, Transparent!
Transparent is about an LA family with serious boundary issues that has their past and future unravel when a dramatic admission causes everyone’s secrets to spill out. Jeffrey Tambor, plays Maura, who spent her life as Mort, the Pfefferman family patriarch. After Maura reintroduces herself to her family, everyone’s secrets finally start to come out.
On January 11, 2015, at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards, the show won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, while Jeffrey Tambor won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for his portrayal of Moyra. This is the first show produced by Amazon Studios to win a major award and the first series from a streaming video service to win a Golden Globe for Best Series.
