Ruach Chayim Musical Shabbat and Open House 2016!

Percussionist Steven Wynbrandt will join us this Friday at 8pm for Ruach Chayim “Open House” Shabbat Services.

Steven’s ecological work in LA is quite impressive.

Wynbrandt is what you might call a spiritual urban farmer, someone whose dedication to agriculture, ecology and idealism combine to make him more than just an avid gardener or master compost-maker, although that is what he does. This blond, slim and lightly tanned 35-year-old is a man with a hybrid calling — he is an environmentalist whose work is holistic — touching every part of his life — and, as he sees it, also deeply holy.

In 2009, Wynbrandt transformed the backyard of his family home — located not far from Overland Avenue in West L.A. — into a thriving urban garden. Now he is producing a special compost (fertilizer) that he will sell to farms and individuals to help them grow plentiful, vibrant, delicious and nutrient-filled crops in a garden of any size.
