Weekend Activities at BCC: January 10-12 / 2014
Friday, January 3, at 8:00pm: Shabbat Services with Rabbi Lisa Edwards and Cantor Juval Porat (replacing Elissa Barret, who has come down with something that prevents her from singing) This Friday, meet us for the welcoming of Shabbat, blessings, inspiring prayers and ancient songs. Services are followed by special refreshments sponsored by Harris Halpern in honor of Howard Hamburger’s birthday!
For our friends outside Los Angeles: Friday Shabbat Services at 8pm will be live streamed. After services join us for Oneg refreshments. Click the “Worship” tab above, on the roll down menu choose “BCC Live Video & Audio” to view the stream. Find out how you can participate in the service from your computer at home!
Saturday, January 11 at 10:00am: Family Shabbat Service followed by Parent and Me: Cantor Juval and Rabbi Heather will lead a spirited service. Families with children of all ages are invited to join the Ohr Chayim families for a Shabbat morning service. Following the service, preschool children and their parents do some singing, storytelling, and crafts together. Elementary school age children are invited to join the Ohr Chayim students for some learning and activities.
