BCC Hosts Guest Cantor Nancy Cohen
Friday, July 4, 6pm Shabbat Services led by Rabbi Lisa and Special Guest, Cantor Nancy Cohen. We welcome back the cantor who was the Vice President and Ritual Chair for BCC in the 1980’s.
Dr. Nancy Cohen began her career as a cantorial soloist in 1986. She had the honor of studying cantorial music with Hazzan Allan Michelson (z”l), Hazzan Nathan Lam, and Cantor William Sharlin (z”l). Dr. Cohen presently serves as cantorial soloist for Temple Havurat Emet in Sun Lakes, Arizona. Previously she was the cantorial soloist for Congregation Beth Knesset Bamidbar, the Reform congregation in the Antelope Valley for over 10 years as well as the cantorial soloist for several Conservative congregations including Temple B’nai Hayim, Sherman Oaks, California.
