BCC Inaugurates “BCC Professionals Series” on September 18, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
BCC is proud to inaugurate the “BCC Professionals Series”, as part of our on-going efforts to provide opportunities for members and non-members to come together around areas of common interest, as well as to facilitate networking among professionals. One Sunday a month, a BCC member will be invited to provide insights within his or her area of professional expertise. The format will be designed to stimulate conversation, as well as to allow for interaction among the participants. The series will focus on a different area of interest each month and will be held in various geographic locations, so as to maximize community involvement.
The inaugural meeting will be devoted to economics and finance, with member Brett Trueman discussing the state of the U.S. economy and stock markets. This meeting will be held at BCC on Sunday, September 18, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. Brett is a distinguished faculty member at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management and is a long-time BCC member as well as current treasurer.
Our second meeting of the series will be devoted to psychology, with member Meiram Bendat speaking on the role of psychoanalysis in American and Israeli cultures. This meeting is tentatively scheduled to be held at BCC on Sunday, October 16, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. , with refreshments provided in BCC’s sukkah. Meiram Bendat is a West Hollywood-based psychotherapist and ethics consultant. He is a faculty member at Antioch University and at the New Center for Psychoanalysis, where he serves as Chair of the Ethics Committee. Mark your calendars!
