BCC Member, Judge Donna Quigley Groman, is Honored by a youth theatre group
The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company, a group that seeks to empower youth in underserved and at-risk environments & help them develop self-esteem, communication and coping skills, will honor Judge Donna Quigley Groman at a dinner on May 16, 2013 at Cicada Restaurant in Los Angeles.
BCC member Donna Quigley Groman was previously honored at the 2000 Annual Brunch when she got the Humanitarian Award, and received the 2011 Youth Advocacy Award from The Stonewall Young Democrats.
Donna Quigley Groman is a judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California. She serves as supervising judge of the Kenyon Juvenile Justice Center. She was first elected to this court in 2004. Groman began her career in 1980 as a lawyer. She left that job in 1997, when she was appointed referee of the Superior Court. The following year, she was appointed Commissioner of the Superior Court. She served in that capacity until her judicial election in 2004.
The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company’s mission is to empower youth in underserved and at-risk environments with the means and methods necessary to explore personal and social conflicts and develop self-esteem, communication and coping skills to make positive life choices and become productive members of the community.
