BCC Professional Series!
“BCC Professionals Series”
Approximately 20 people attended the successful launch of the BCC Professionals Series on Sunday, September 18. UCLA Anderson Business School faculty member and BCC treasurer, Brett Trueman, gave a revealing, hour-long presentation on the status of the US economy and stock market. Prior and subsequent to his talk, those in attendance were treated to delicious varieties of fruit punch provided by BCC member Denis Hiebsch and to gourmet specialty foods prepared by BCC member and chef, Peter Bastien, of Bronze Fine Foods & Catering. Our next gathering will be on October 16, 2011, in our sukkah(!), and will include a discussion of the role of psychoanalysis in American and Israeli cultures. Meiram Bendat, a BCC member, Antioch University faculty member, and West Hollywood-based psychotherapist, will be the featured presenter. Additional edible goodies and seasonal beverages are sure to be featured, so don’t miss out! Mark your calendars!
The “BCC Professionals Series”, is part of our on-going efforts to provide opportunities for members and non-members to come together around areas of common interest, as well as to facilitate networking among professionals. One Sunday a month, a BCC member will be invited to provide insights within his or her area of professional expertise. The format will be designed to stimulate conversation, as well as to allow for interaction among the participants. The series will focus on a different area of interest each month and will be held in various geographic locations, so as to maximize community involvement.
