Weekend Activities at BCC: January 3-5 / 2014
Friday, January 3, at 8:00pm: Shabbat Services Rabbi Lisa Edwards & Cantor Juval Porat invite you to join us at BCC for the first Shabbat of 2014 Jan. 3 @8pm for a contemplative, musical Shabbat service. Give yourself a secular new year gift of reflection on the year soon past and an imagining of the one soon to be, and be with us on these special Shabbat.
For our friends outside Los Angeles: Friday Shabbat Services at 8pm will be live streamed. After services join us for Oneg refreshments. Click the “Worship” tab above, on the roll down menu choose “BCC Live Video & Audio” to view the stream. Find out how you can participate in the service from your computer at home!
Saturday, January 4, 11 and 25 at 10am: Ohr Chayim Everyone is invited to join us for our Shabbat services from 10am-10:30am. This week, we will read Torah with Rabbi Heather.
Sunday, January 5, Project Chicken Soup (PCS): Prepare Kosher meals or deliver meals to clients with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illness. Meet at 7:45am to cook or 11:30am to help deliver. Contact Cathryn at (310) 836-5402 to volunteer. This is a great place to be a mensch and to meet other mensches.
