*Thursdays, June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23 & June 30, Virtual Telephone Minyan, 4pm to 5pm.  Join others by telephone to pray and study each week.  Contact Bracha Yael through the temple office to dial in.

*Thursdays, June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23 & June 30, Study Torah with Rabbi Lisa Edwards from 7pm to 9pm.  This is a drop-in class which does not require any experience.  We have everything you need to read and discuss the weekly Parashat.

*Friday, June 3, No-Host Shabbat Dinner at the Taj Mahal of India, 8566 W. Pico Blvd, 6:30pm.  Unwind prior to Shabbat services with good food and friends.  Afterwards we all stroll over to BCC for Shabbat services at 8pm.

*Saturdays, June 4 & June 11, Ohr Chayim, Jewish learning for families, 10am, followed by a half hour family service at noon led by the Ohr Chayim students and Director Leah Zimmerman.

*Saturday, June 4, Women’s Havurah Game Night, 7pm–10pm. Just for the women! Join other women for a fun night of board games and socializing. Bring a beverage and snacks to share. Please RSVP to Donna through the temple office.

*Open All Night!  Shavuot Tuesday June 7th, 7 pm until dawn.  Come join us on this evening of learning, discussion, music as we consider not only the content of prayers, but how to offer them. Starting at 7 pm with the Chanting of the Ten Commandments followed by a brief Yizkor Memorial Service, some refreshments, and then our studies.  The evening will include a vegetarian/dairy potluck. Please bring something to share.

*Friday, June 10, PRIDE Shabbat Services.   June 2011 marks 30 years since the first recorded cases of what would eventually become known as AIDS. It also marks a significant anniversary of wellness for BCC member Ginger Jacobs – 30 years cancer free. On June 10, join Ginger, Rabbi Edwards and Cantor Porat for a healing & spiritual Pride Shabbat filled with music, visuals, prayer, commemoration and celebration. All are invited to join us! Services conclude with an especially proud refreshment social hour.

*Saturday, June 11, Ohr Chayim Family Pool Party & Potluck Barbecue Hosted by Ohr Chayim family Sofia, Dora and Giovanni Ames. Please RSVP with Leah Zimmerman through the temple office for directions and time.

*Saturday, June 18, Saturday Morning Shabbat Services, followed by kiddush and vegetarian potluck lunch, 10am.  Learners invited.

*Sundays, June 19 &  June 26, Project Chicken Soup, bringing home-made comfort to clients of the Los Angeles Jewish AIDS Services. Volunteers meet at 3975 Landmark, Culver City, at 8am to cook and at 11:30am to help deliver meals to clients. To volunteer please RSVP to Project Chicken Soup at (310) 836-5402.

*June 24, Ruach Chayim Musical Kabbalat Services with Rabbi Lisa Edwards, Cantor Juval Porat and guest musicians, 8pm.  Join us at 7pm for a refreshment schmooze and social hour prior to services.

*Sunday, June 26 Women’s Havurah at the Annenberg Community Beach House, 10am–2pm Join “just the women” at this fabulous five-acre public facility in Santa Monica. We can bike, walk, relax, swim, play! Please RSVP to Donna through the temple office.

*OUTFEST 2011!  BCC is co-sponsor of Outfest’s screening of  Anybody’s Girl.  What’s your line? The ladies in these beguiling shorts might have different approaches, but don’t be fooled: they’ve all got moves.
