JQ International and Beth Chayim Chadashim come together for their first ever VEGAN SHABBAT!
BCC will be hosting the dinner starting at 6:30PM. A lovely vegan meal will be served with services starting at 8:00PM, followed by Shabbat speaker, Sylvia Moskovitz! Sylvia will be speaking to us in her role as Advisory Council Member to Jewish Veg, an organization which encourages and helps Jews to embrace plant-based diets as an expression of the Jewish values of compassion for animals, concern for health, and care for the environment. Sylvia is the Chief Development and Communications Officer for Farm Sanctuary, working in the organization’s Los Angeles office. She has 30 years of professional experience in the nonprofit sector. Immediately before joining Farm Sanctuary, she served as director of development for the University of Southern California Shoah Foundation.
