Midrash

Midrash is commonly defined as the process of interpretation by which the rabbis filled in “gaps” found in the Torah. It is a literature that seeks to ask the questions that lie on the tips of our tongues, and to answer them even before we have posed them.

Join us Monday nights (7:30-9pm) in February (2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 2/29) with Rabbi Heather Miller as we explore Midrash. Midrash is a rabbinic reimagining of Torah scenes which fill in details that the text leaves out, often in an effort to reveal ethical or moral insights. Try your hand at this type of Biblical storytelling, and experience this modern, creative form of interpretation!
