Passover 2017: Seders Move Into Our Homes

article_image_full

Pesach this Year is: April 10-18, 2017

Instead of our traditional congregational Seder at BCC on the second night of Passover, this year we are encouraging our members and friends to celebrate in smaller groups in private homes. We can provide the Haggadah supplements, musical mp3s, and topics for discussion. You provide the seats. You can provide all the food or have your guests bring specific items, like wine, grape juice, charoset, matzah, vegetables, vegetarian protein dish, etc. Or you can have it catered and ask guests to share in the price. You can have a Seder on any night of Passover.

To participate, please complete our survey and indicate if you are willing to invite BCC members to a Seder at your home, or if you want to be invited to someone’s home CLICK HERE

If you have questions, please email the BCC office and leave a message for Ginger Jacobs, who will be matching guests with Seders.

Rabbi Lisa Edwards will be offering a Seder leading workshop on Tuesday, April 4 from 6pm to 7:30 pm (followed by Torah study). Learn the tradition of gathering with family and friends in the evening to read from the haggadah and the order of prayers, rituals, readings, songs for the Passover seder. Pesach 2017 is a celebration of freedom and family. Please RSVP to lisa@bcc-la.org by April 3.
