Saturday Evening, September. 8, 2012 — S’lichot Services at Temple Beth Am

Preparing to Forgive: A spiritual moment in time. A moment of learning and worship, preparing us for the repentance and forgiveness that is the essence of The Days of Awe.

PicoEgal, BCC & Temple Beth Am join together this year for a rousing and exhilarating davening of the S’lichot service under the stars.

Mincha, Seudah Shlisheet, Ma’ariv
6:20 pm, Shabbat Afternoon Service, light Third Meal* of Shabbat & Evening Service
8 pm, Havdalah
8:15 pm, Everyone is invited to join BCCers at Temple Beth Am for a 3 text-based traditional liturgy study and musical session in which we will prepare for the High Holy Days. S’lichot – a Hebrew word meaning “Forgiveness” marks this annual observance of special prayers and poems that prepare us for the Days of Awe. Beginning with S’lichot we are invited to take into account our lives, our choices and our actions.
9:15 pm, Musical meditation and S’lichot Services will be led by Rabbi Ari Lucas, Student Rabbi D’ror Chankin-Gould, Cantor Magda Fishman and Cantor Juval Porat on the Pitch Rooftop (Please bring sweaters)

Our S’lichot Pico-Robertson community evening will engage our spirit, emotions and intellect. We hope you can join us!

*There is no charge for the light Third Meal, but reservations are required by September 21.
