Friday, August 15 at 6:30 pm: Early Shabbat Service in the Round . Join Cantor Juval Porat and Rabbi Heather Miller for BCC’s Early Service, a contemplative one hour circle Shabbat. Let your Shabbat be what it was meant to be  — reflective, meditative, gentle, different from the ordinary days of the week.  After services we invite you to bring in your own meal (or something to share) and stay for games and conversation, or join with friends (new and old) and venture out to a neighborhood restaurant.

For our friends outside Los Angeles: Friday Shabbat Services will be live streamed. After services join us for Oneg refreshments. Click the “Worship” tab above, on the roll down menu choose “BCC Live Video & Audio” to view the stream. Find out how you can participate in the service from your computer at home!

Friday, August 15 at 8:30pm: 20s/30s Shabbat Dinner.  BCC Board of Directors Member & Havurot Coordinator, Fernando McCray will host a Shabbat Dinner at his home for BCC members and friends in the 20s/30s group.

All the accoutrements for a warm and joyous welcoming of Shabbat–food, family, prayers, music and friendship — will be offered. BCC’s Live Stream Shabbat Service will be screening! Dinner is $5 with RSVP and $10 without RSVP. Please RSVP to Fernando by email at 20s30s@bcc-la.org for directions and more info. Fernando lives very close to BCC.

Saturday, August 16 at 10am: Saturday Morning Minyan. You’re invited to a traditional style Shabbat morning service infused with BCC’s informal, welcoming spirit and the warmth of community including rousing melodies, Torah reading and discussion of the week’s Torah portion.
